The lodge was a home from home and provided a great base for exploring the area. We'll come back in the summer and try out the kayaks on the lake! Ms B, St. Albans, Hertfordshire 22 February 2011
The lodges were very peaceful and private and although none of the lodges look over the lake, you are only a couple of minutes walk away from it. There is a grassy area in front of the lodges so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids whilst they played. Mrs B, Chesterfield, Derbyshire 05 October 2010
This site was the best we have stayed on. Very quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Excellent for cycling and walking on your door step and lake was lovely. Truly a holiday to unwind from everyday life. Mrs M, WARLINGHAM 05 September 2010

Fabulous location for Alton Towers and many other Staffordshire/Derbyshire activities. The lodge is very well equipped, with an added bonus of the hot tub (enjoyed by adults & kids alike throughout our stay). Not only is the lodge well equipped, the quality of the furnishings far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come back again. Mrs B, Chatham 29 September 2008
